Ruth Hedges is one of the original pioneers of the legislation that ultimately became Title III-Crowdfunding signed into law in the JOBS Act on April 5th 2012. As a result, Ruth was honored with an invitation to the White House for its Crowdfunding Champions of Change event.
Ruth created the largest annual crowdfunding conference in the world. Crowdfundingroadmap.com/bootcamp: A Global Crowdfunding Convention and Bootcamp that started in 2012 and is hosted every October in Las Vegas. Ruth is a co-founding board member of CFIRA (CrowdFund Intermediary Regulatory Advocates), and the CEO of CrowdU.com, the nation’s first Crowdfunding College.
Ruth is also the CEO of Crowdfundingroadmap.com, an innovative SaaS platform for businesses to use in preparing to raise capital via exemptions pursuant to the JOBS Act. As an industry expert, Ruth has been interviewed or quoted in over 40 major publications, and was selected to teach the first university-level course on securities-based crowdfunding at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Ms. Hedges was also a Founding board member in 2012 of the Governance committee for the Crowdfunding Professional Association Organizing (CFPA) and also a Founding Board member of the CrowdFund Intermediary Regulatory Advocates (CFIRA).
In 2012 Ms. Hedges also launched Global Crowdfunding Day to help spread the word across the globe.
Previously, Ms. Hedges was featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy as well as the New York Times, the LA Times and People magazine for her work with Oxfam America and the Hollywood Hunger Banquets. She was featured on ABC’s Home Show, and the Financial News Network produced a two-part series on Ms. Hedges for their show “American Entrepreneur”. She was invited to fill a cabinet seat on the Second Century Campaign board which raised over 16 million dollars to build the new Union Rescue Mission. She is the recipient of the Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles for that work.

Kendall is the CEO of FundHub, a JOBS Act and equity crowdfunding compliance web site. Kendall is also the founder of Crowd It Forward, a charity-based crowdfunding site that performs “Random Acts of Crowdfunding” and raises money for people in need through a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. Kendall is also CEO of ClickStartMe, a crowdfunding site that provides individuals and businesses with an easy-to-use website to raise funds through online rewards-based crowdfunding.
Before entering law school, Kendall graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a bachelors’ degree in Broadcasting from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Kendall created Legally Speaking, a public affairs television program that aired for 12 years and provided legal help and education to those who could not otherwise afford to speak to an attorney. Kendall was also the co-founder of StarTrust Management, an athlete and entertainment agency, where he provided agent services and professional guidance to professional athletes including NFL players, Major League Baseball players, Olympic athletes and a NASCAR drivers. Kendall’s guidance as a sports agent assisted his clients in such diverse areas as contract negotiation, endorsement procurement, media training, event planning, foundation creation and development and implementation of business strategies. Kendall’s sports agent work allowed him to represent athletes who participated in the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, the Winter Olympics and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
As a practicing attorney, Kendall has operated his law practice for more than 25 years and has earned the title of Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer from the Florida Bar, a distinction bestowed upon less than 3% of all attorneys in the state. Kendall has also earned an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest peer review rating possible and one that also carries the highest ethical rating from this national attorney rating publication.
Kendall has represented individuals, businesses, television personalities and professional athletes. He has negotiated multi-million dollar contracts as a sports agent, and has handled multi-million dollar legal matters for individuals and businesses alike. Kendall earned his law degree from University of Florida College of Law, where he was an Editor of The Journal of Law and Public Policy and the recipient of the William C. Gaither Award as the outstanding member of the University of Florida Moot Court Team.
